Amy Jones, of Salty Treasures Art, is an artist based in Woodbury, Connecticut. She draws inspiration from her love of snorkeling in the US Virgin Islands. Enamored by the mesmerizing sight of schools of fish swimming in unison, Amy translates these underwater experiences into her art, instilling a sense of wonder and connection with the ocean in her audience. 

Working primarily with acrylic paint, Amy appreciates its flexibility and versatility. Whether thinned to mimic the fluidity of watercolors or applied thickly to resemble the texture of oil paint, acrylics provide endless creative possibilities.  She finds joy in mixing and thinning the paints, eagerly anticipating the life that emerges on her canvas. 

In addition to her paintings, Amy creates unique oyster art. Her favorite pieces are the intricate orb sculptures, though her handcrafted trinket dishes and ornaments also make cherished gifts.
